Choctaw Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees announces that Mr. Kenneth J. Gates of Twin Falls, Idaho has accepted the position of CEO/General Manager.
Mr. Gates brings over forty years of electric management experience to this position. His most recent experience has been as the CEO of Dakota Energy Cooperative in Huron, South Dakota.
He also served as the CEO of Cordova Electric Cooperative in Cordova, Alaska from 1999-2007.
This experience and background make him highly qualified to lead Choctaw Electric Cooperative.
Mr. Gates will report to work in early June.
Choctaw Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative located in Hugo, Oklahoma. Established in 1940 by local citizens to bring electricity to rural families, farms and businesses, CEC now delivers electricity to more than 13,500 homes and businesses in seven southeast Oklahoma counties.
